My name is Brandon W. Jones.  Welcome to my blog!

My purpose for this blog is to discuss how people can become leaders in both their personal and professional lives.  I will also discuss challenges people face on a regular basis in their pursuit for leadership excellence and suggestions on overcoming them.  This blog will also highlight examples taken from the business world that relate to leadership.

In my career I have held various positions in leadership, project management, team development, etc.  I am constantly seeking new opportunities to grow and become more experienced.

One of my major career goals is to be a leader where I can help an organization or company reach its highest potential.  I feel that this is achieved when great leaders have a strong understanding of the both the technical aspects of the company and the interpersonal leadership and management skills.

In line with my career goals, I have worked hard to develop both my technical understanding and leadership skills.  I earned my bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University – Idaho and my MBA at the University of Nevada, Reno.  I currently work as a supervisor of engineering for a natural gas utility company.
